Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed during a Wednesday interview with Rachel Maddow that she was “living rent-free” inside President Donald Trump’s brain, and that “it’s not a very nice place to be.”
Maddow brought up the recent revelation found in the Mueller report that Trump asked former Attorney General Jeff Sessions to begin a Department of Justice investigation into Clinton.

“Well, what I make of it is this as big a sign of a guilty conscience or a real fear that you could possibly have. I mean, I’m living rent-free inside of Donald Trump’s brain. It’s not a very nice place to be, I can tell you that. So I don’t know what they’re talking about. I’ve been investigated repeatedly by the other side. And much to their dismay, but to my, you know, satisfaction, it’s been for naught,” Clinton answered.
She continued, “I testified for 11 hours in the Benghazi hearing after—what?—seven committees said there was nothing there? This is a diversion attack. Look, it is very sad to me that the lies that were told about me, the accusations that were made about me, have unfortunately had some residue.”
As Maddow explained, the Mueller report states that, “According to Sessions, the President asked him to reverse his recusal so that Sessions could direct the Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute Hillary Clinton, the ‘gist’ of the conversation was that the President wanted Sessions to un-recuse from ‘all of it,’ including the Special Counsel’s Russia investigation. Sessions listened but did not respond, and he did not reverse his recusal or order an investigation of Clinton.” (RELATED: Here’s What Mueller Found (Or Didn’t Find) On Collusion)
