Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) endorsed a video that showed her sympathizing with immigrants targeted by President Donald Trump in a short video clip, but she neglected to note that he was referring to the vicious MS-13 gang.

Omar posted the video produced by “Now This,” a left-wing news aggregator, that contained comments by her defending migrants the president had decried.

“It is important for us to recognize the human faces, the human lives, the human stories, the human struggles, the human hope that is rooted in the policies that we are debating,” Omar said in the video.

“When I hear the president and his administation and his advisers talk about our immigration policy and forget to recognize the humanity in the people they are speaking about,” she said. “It is important for my voice to really roar, because I know the pain that they are feeling.”

However, the video spliced into Omar’s commentary has the president remarking, “these aren’t people. These are animals.”

That comment comes from criticism that the president made of the vicious criminal gang, MS-13.

“I’m referring, and you know I’m referring, to the MS-13 gangs that are coming in,” the president confirmed when he was pressed about the comment.

Omar has been the target of great criticism after she tried to pin the problems in Venezuela on U.S. foreign policy instead of the failures of the socialist dictatorship that have led to widespread starvation, violence and misery.
