UPDATE (17:36 ET): The Sheriff’s office has given an estimate that 7 or 8 students have been injured in the shooting. That number does not include the shooters.

The FBI and local police are on scene, with more emergency vehicles arriving every minute, at a large school with over 1,800 students in Colorado, where first report of shots fired came in at around 1:50pm in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
A medical helicopter was seen arriving in the moments before this article was published. At the time of this article, police consider the scene “active” and “unstable.”
ABC News, Fox News Channel, and various other outlets report that there are “multiple” victims, but nothing specific. Two suspects are reportedly in custody.
The children’s hospital is very nearby, and confirms to local news that they have received emergency vehicles from the scene, but have not reported on what the status is.
Multiple victims were also taken to the medical helicopter in the live broadcast (below) in the last few minutes.
Updates from the Sheriff’s Office of Douglas County have been released on Twitter.
Some students are still in the lockdown by police within the school and have not been released to parents.
