Several students were injured during a shooting in Highlands Ranch, Colorado on Tuesday afternoon at a school that did not have a school resource officer assigned to it.

Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said during a press conference that law enforcement believes that the two suspects who were arrested both went to the school and that one suspect is believed to be an adult. Spurlock added that a handgun was used during the shooting.

“Four of the victims were in serious condition and one was in fair condition at Littleton Adventist Hospital,” Denver 7 News reported. “One victim was in good condition at Children’s Hospital. Two other victims were at Sky Ridge Medical Center, but their conditions were unknown.”
