David Harsanyi

Award-winning columnist, editor and author David Harsanyi joins the WND team of commentators today. His weekly column will be published Fridays on the news site’s Commentary page.

Senior editor at The Federalist, Harsanyi is a syndicated columnist through Creators Syndicate, a Happy Warrior columnist at National Review and author of four books. Harsanyi is a former national political columnist and editorial board member at The Denver Post and editor of Human Events. His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, Weekly Standard, New York Post, RealClearPolitics, Reason, USA Today and numerous other publications. He has appeared on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, “ABC World News Tonight,” “NBC Nightly News” and dozens of radio talk shows across the country.

Harsanyi’s latest book is “First Freedom: A Ride Through America’s Enduring History With the Gun.”

According to one critic, Harsanyi is “willing to gore sacred cows on either side of the ideological fence.” His column won six press association awards in 2007 (three for humor), and his book “Nanny State” received praise from across the ideological spectrum.
