The Anaheim Police Department said that child endangerment charges are being considered against members of a family that were caught on a viral video in a brutal fight in Disneyland’s Toontown.

The violent altercation occurred in July, but the video from a bystander went mega-viral with millions of views on Saturday.

The official account of the Anaheim Police released a statement on Monday.

“APD is aware of a video going viral of a fight inside @Disneyland on Saturday,” the police tweeted. “We responded to investigate. All parties were from the same family and were uncooperative. A report was taken.”

“There was no video at the time. Now that we have video, the investigation can continue,” they concluded.

The video shows various members of a family punching and assaulting each other for about five minutes until they are subdued. Some on social media criticized Disneyland for the lack of prompt response to the situation.

Disney Resorts responded on Twitter, saying, “In response to Guests’ concerns regarding the altercation at Disneyland––any type of violence is inexcusable and will not be tolerated.”

“Those involved were immediately removed from the premises and turned over to [the Anaheim Police Department,]” they concluded.

Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said that misdemeanor child endangerment or fighting in public charges are being considered against members of the family.

“We didn’t have the luxury of viewing video at that time.” he explained.
