Influential black radio show host Lenard Larry McKelvey said that former Vice President Joe Biden suffered from “old white male entitlement,” and was fumbling his presidential campaign.

McKelvey, who calls himself “Charlamagne tha god,” explained to CNN’s Don Lemon why he thought Biden wasn’t performing well as a candidate.

“Oh yeah, Joe Biden, he fumbles the ball all the time, he misses layups,” McKelvey said.

“Joe Biden fumbles all the time, because Joe Biden suffers from old white male entitlement,” he explained.

“Where he can’t simply say, ‘I was wrong,’ or he can’t simply say, ‘I’m sorry,’ or he can’t simply say, ‘hey I thought this way at one time, but now I think a different way,’ instead of him admitting that some of the things that he actually did was wrong,” McKelvey continued.

“Then why do you think that he has such support among African-Americans everything to do with Barack Obama,” asked Lemon, “or it’s because black folks just like him.”

“It’s all about Barack Obama, you know what I’m sayin? Like I’m from the South, so when you go to your grandmother’s house, if you got a friend with you, your grandmother gonna say, Hey, come let’s fix him a plate!” McKelvey responded.

“But when you’re not around, grandma might have some questions!” he joked.

McKelvey went on to say that the “old white male entitlement mentality and privilege” afflicting Biden prevented him from considering new ideas.

“I don’t think people are too old but I think you can have old ideas,” McKelvey concluded.

Numerous Democratic presidential candidates have visited McKelvey’s morning show in order to gain trust in the African-American community. Some have been less than successful, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who was forced to awkwardly answer about her alleged Native American heritage.
