The opening statements of the second night of the CNN Democratic presidential debate were plagued by technical problems.
Several candidates’ opening remarks were overshadowed by microphone feedback.
Feedback could be heard throughout all of Sen. Kamala Harris’ opening statement. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s comments on healthcare also featured some microphone troubles, too.
Both microphone troubles occurred after Sen. Cory Booker was heckled by protesters yelling for Mayor Bill de Blasio to fire NYPD police officer Daniel Pantaleo.
