A shooting at Temerson Square early Saturday morning left at least five people injured, according to the Tuscaloosa Police Department.

TPD officers were called at around 2:47 a.m. to the 2300 block of Fourth Street in downtown Tuscaloosa with a report of shots fired outside Roxy’s Nightclub.

Five people were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, some by private vehicles, in connection with the shooting. A TPD news release says the extent of the victims’ injuries is unknown.

Multiple suspects were detained and were being questioned as of 5 a.m., according to the news release.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit responded to the shooting and will release further information as it becomes available.
