No surprise —more mixed messaging on COVID from the Biden White House.

On one hand, the administration has announced an end to Title 42 —a Trump-era COVID health policy that allows for expedited expulsion of migrants at the southern border. On the other hand, Americans can’t fly without a mask for another two weeks as the public transportation mask mandate has been extended.

Restrictions for migrants are more lax than for Americans, according to Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR); Cotton shared his thoughts on Twitter.

“Joe Biden is dropping COVID restrictions for illegal immigrants at the border. But he’s extending the mask mandate for Americans on planes. Talk about putting Americans last.”

The end of Title 42 is expected to trigger an influx of migrants at the southern border. The Department of Homeland Security believes they could see up to 18,000 migrants entering the U.S. per day.
