Superstar Phoebe Bridgers told followers she recently got an abortion while on tour, calling it “easy” and said “everyone deserves” access in response to the leaked draft from the Supreme Court indicating the Roe v. Wade decision could be overturned.
“I had an abortion in October of last year while I was on tour,” the four-time Grammy nominee tweeted to her hundreds of thousands of followers.
“I went to Planned Parenthood where they gave me the abortion pill,” she added. “It was easy. Everyone deserves that kind of access.”
Her post included an article from The Cut that provided a “list of places” where people “can donate to right now.”

The “Moon Song” hitmaker was at the 2022 Met Gala in New York City Monday night when reports surfaced of the leaked draft. She attended the annual event with her boyfriend, Paul Mescal, the outlet noted. Bridgers and Mescal have been romantically linked since 202o and the two made things Instagram official in December 2021.
In October 2021, the singer also showed which side of the abortion argument she was on when she sent a message to Governor Gregg Abbott (R-TX) telling her fans that proceeds from her cover of That Funny Feeling would go to Texas Abortion Funds. Abbott had just signed SB 8, which bans almost all abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected at around six weeks of pregnancy, as previously reported by the Daily Wire.
“This one’s for Greg Abbott,” Bridgers captioned her post on social media. “My cover of That Funny Feeling by Bo Burnham is up on bandcamp today. All proceeds go to Texas Abortion Funds.”
Other stars having a meltdown over Roe v. Wade possibly being overturned included Amy Schumer, Amber Tamblyn, and more, as previously reported.
“Hope you have a great day @susancollinsforsenate remember when you chose your career over women[s] being tested as humans and all the other assholes who caused this,” the 40-year-old comedian captioned her Instagram post. “This is why I got arrested to oppose that frat f***s confirmation. Give us our dignity or we will take it. This is why we fight. See you out there ladies. Foley square at 5.”
The last part of Schumer’s post was a reference to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh who she slammed and said was the reason she “got arrested” when she tried to stop him from being confirmed in 2018.
“Tonight our highest court declared war on more than half of its citizens – women and birthing people everywhere,” actress Tamblyn wrote Monday. “The overturning of Roe V Wade is a political act of violence against us and we will not accept it. We will fight and we will not stop. EVER.”
