Standing outside of the Supreme Court on Tuesday following the leak of a draft opinion document indicating that the high court will vote to overturn Roe v Wade, Sen. Elizabeth Warren vented to a crowd of protestors, saying she is “angry” at the sentiments expressed in the draft.

“I am angry,” the Massachusetts Democrat said, according to the Daily Mail. “Angry and upset and determined.”

“I am here because I am angry, and I am here because the United States Congress can change all of this. Angry, but committed,” Warren said.

Speaking to the crowd about how Americans want to maintain Roe as the “law of the land,” a heckler outside of the court accused Warren of trying to “dismember children.”

“We’ve heard enough from the extremists,” Warren said before walking away.

Warren accused conservatives of “plotting, carefully cultivating these Supreme Court justices so they could have a majority on the bench who would accomplish something that the majority of Americans do not want.”

“They knew what they were getting when they voted for these people. And this is what they want. It is up to the rest of us to make the legislative process work,” she said.

According to the Daily Mail, “Warren was among a group of Democrats who were recounting recent history that set up the court’s 6-3 conservative majority,” which included the filibuster of Obama nominee Merrick Garland, the quick confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and the widespread clash over Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Maine Sen. Susan Collins, who voted for two Trump nominees, Kavanaugh and Justice Neil Gorsuch, said if the draft decision holds “it would be completely inconsistent with what Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh said in their hearings and in our meetings in my office.”

Warren called the Republican focus on the leaker of the draft document a distraction.

“What should be investigated and prosecuted is the fact that people who were nominated to the Supreme Court stood up and said they believed in the rule of law and precedent, and then at first opportunity, changed direction by 180 degrees and are going for a full repeal of Roe,” she said.

Late Monday evening, Politico published the leaked draft document, which all-out instantly resulted in protestors gathering at the Supreme Court.

The morning following the leak, Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed that the document is in fact authentic, but noted that “it does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issues in the case.”

“To the extent this betrayal of the confidences of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations, it will not succeed,” Roberts said.

“This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here. on into the source of the I have directed the Marshal of the Court to launch an investigation into the source of the leak,” he added.
