Speaking on the “Just the News – Not Noise” show on the Real America’s Voice Network on Friday, Wisconsin GOP gubernatorial candidate Rebecca Kleefisch said she would fire the Milwaukee County district attorney.

Leading up to the declaration, Kleefisch highlighted an assailant from a 2021 Christmas parade massacre and noted the county District Attorney’s role in seeking a minimal sentence for him.

“The Waukesha parade massacre, killed six people injured 61 And it’s because of his [Wisconsin Democratic Gov. Tony Evers] permissive culture,” she said. “He allows these district attorneys and these judges to allow the bad guys to go we need to take away their discretion but Tony Evers right now has the opportunity to take over.”

Darrell Brooks, then 39, allegedly drove an SUV through a Milwaukee Christmas parade, injuring many attendees and killing several more, according to NBC news.

“Are you a bad District Attorney, the guy in Milwaukee County who lived a monster who mowed down a Christmas parade full of spectators and celebratory families, that man, District Attorney of Milwaukee County, new in setting low or no bail was going to lead to the loss of life events,” Kleefisch went on.

“You know, in 2007, he was interviewed, and he said that he knew what would happen. In fact, he said, ‘I guarantee it.’ And it did happen. And Tony Evers right now has within his wherewithal to fire this man, this man with blood on his hands, and he won’t do it. I will fire the district attorney of Milwaukee County, and I will fire him on day one.”

Kleefisch is seeking to oust Wisconsin Democratic Gov. Tony Evers during the 2022 midterm elections. She previously served as the state’s lieutenant governor under GOP Gov. Scott Walker.
