World’s richest man and potential new Twitter sheriff Elon Musk has pressed pause on his acquisition of the social media platform. Musk wants more details on spam accounts before moving forward.

“Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users,” Musk tweeted on Friday. He later confirmed he was “still committed to acquisition.”

Musk says he wants to clean up Twitter’s fake accounts and bots —estimated to be about 5% of the platform’s users. But if the number is higher than 5%, it could hurt Twitter’s market value. Some analysts estimate that the number of fake accounts could be as high as 30%.
