He will go on to face off against the state’s Democrat Attorney General Josh Shapiro in the general election in November after being endorsed by former President Donald Trump.
Mastriono was projected by the Associated Press to win the nomination despite concerns among some Pennsylvania Republicans that Mastriano might have difficulty winning in November due to his questioning the results of the 2020 election.
