“Americans have had enough.”

Florida AG Ashley Moody, who led the nationwide effort to disband the Disinformation Governance Board says the Biden Administration underestimated the American people when they tried to launch the initiative. Moody shared her thoughts on Fox & Friends First Thursday morning.

“I think they underestimated the American people. And those of us that were paying attention to their calculated, orchestration to mislead the public…Americans have had enough —I’ve had enough,” Moody says. “I think you’re going to see a November like we’ve never seen.”

“The White House needs to remember that this government is merely ‘We The People.’”

The Disinformation Governance Board was “paused” on Wednesday after intense blowback from conservatives and the American people. Board head Nina Jankowicz resigned shortly after the announcement, releasing the following statement.

“With the Board’s work paused and its future uncertain … I have decided to leave DHS to return to my work in the public sphere,” Jankowicz said in a statement released through a spokesperson. “It is deeply disappointing that mischaracterizations of the Board became a distraction from the Department’s vital work, and indeed, along with recent events globally and nationally, embodies why it is necessary.

“I maintain my commitment to building awareness of disinformation’s threats and trust the Department will do the same.”

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) shared the news on Twitter, providing a very brief comment:

“Good riddance.”
