The members of the January 6 committee are getting ready for their close-up as the hearings go live on prime-time television Thursday night. The committee has hired the former president of ABC News to turn what they call a “mountain” of evidence into a compelling multimedia presentation. They have a story to sell to the American people, and this is their chance.
Rep. Jamie Raskin is being a bit of a tease in order to goose the ratings. He says the committee has a lot more evidence against Donald Trump than just “incitement.”

They’ve been holding onto it for the TV special, like Geraldo Rivera opening Al Capone’s vault.
