The Labor Department reported Friday that the U.S. economy added 372,000 more jobs in June, exceeding economists expectations.

Economists projected about 250,000 new jobs would be added, as economies around the world are challenge with recession concerns, inflation and the pandemic, now in its third year.

The June unemployment rate was 3.6%, according to the department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. The figure matches economists’ expectations for the figure, which was also 3.6% in May.
