George Soros is really committed to this woke DA push —like, really committed.

According to a recent op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, billionaire philanthropist and deep-pocket progressive George Soros has no intention of stopping his push to elect woke district attorneys nationwide.

According to The Daily Wire, “The Capital Research Center reported in January that since 2016, their researchers tracked over $29 million in funding from Soros ‘through a personal network of political action committees (PACs) formed specifically to back left-wing DA candidates.’”

That’s no small sum —and Soros is readying even more cash for the cause.

“I have supported the election (and more recently the re-election) of prosecutors who support reform. I have done it transparently, and I have no intention of stopping,” Soros wrote in his opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal.

“Our system is rife with injustices that make us all less safe. The idea that we need to choose between justice and safety is false,” Soros continues.

“Some politicians and pundits have tried to blame recent spikes in crime on the policies of reform-minded prosecutors. The research I’ve seen says otherwise,” Soros insisted.

We’re not sure exactly which research Soros is citing, but here’s a snapshot of Woke DAs from the New York Post:

Recently-deposed Chesa Boudin of San Francisco: violent crimes: up 4%, year to date; property crimes: up 8.2%, year to date; total crime rate: up 7.8%, year to date.

Alvin Bragg, Manhattan: major crime rate: up 43.2%, year to date.

George Gascón, Los Angeles: violent crimes: up 7.7%, year to date; property crimes: up 13.3%, year to date; total crime rate: up 11.9%, year to date.

Kim Foxx, Chicago: major crime rate: up 34%, year to date.

Larry Krasner, Philadelphia: violent crimes: up 6.3%, year to date; property crimes: up 27.1%, year to date; total crime rate: up 22.2%, year to date.

Kevin Hayden, Boston: violent crimes: up 4.4%, year to date; property crimes: up 4.8%, year to date; total crime rate: up 4.7%, year to date.

From The Daily Wire:

The denial of how leftist policies have led to a rise in crime is not restricted to Soros; when Gascón, who faces a potential recall and received nearly $3 million in campaign funds from Soros, was asked by news anchors to critics calling him a “soft-on-crime” DA while his city has been blitzed by an 8.6% rise in violent crime over the past year, he answered that he believed Los Angeles was safer under his tenure, claiming, “Yeah, in some areas it is. … I know how to keep communities safe.”
