Steven Crowder was interviewing the future governor of Arizona when she mentioned the 2020 election and how she would investigate the widespread fraud in her state if she wins the general.
Well that was enough for YouTube to give Crowder a strike and suspend his account, which means he’s no longer allowed to livestream his show until the suspension is lifted.
Via Daily Caller:
YouTube suspended conservative comedian Steven Crowder’s show over a now-removed interview with Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake.
The platform said the interview violated their “misinformation policy” because of Lake’s claim that there was “widespread fraud” in the 2020 presidential election, according to Crowder’s tweet posted late Wednesday. Lake told Crowder that if she is elected, she intends to investigate the alleged voter fraud both in the last presidential election and in the gubernatorial primary she recently won.
“Content that advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches changed the outcome of the U.S. 2020 presidential election is not allowed on YouTube,” the notification said.
Crowder accused YouTube of practicing “suppression of political speech” by removing the interview from the platform.
“Wow. Won’t be able to stream to @YouTube because of comments from a CURRENT GUBERNATORIAL candidate. On a show with all references provided. If this isn’t suppression of political speech, then nothing is.”
This happened last night and today Crowder addressed it in a short Twitter video:

It’s absolutely suppression of political speech and Crowder should move to Rumble permanently. I guess for him, like many others, YouTube is so popular that he might lose some of his audience if he did that. So I get why he doesn’t. But clearly, in the long run, he’d be much better off with Rumble, which is a fantastic video platform and they won’t penalize him like the totalitarians at Google.
I remember the old days when Google used to believe in their motto ‘don’t be evil’. Now it seems they’re evil all the time…
