Climate activists from the group “Just Stop Oil” threw a can of tomato soup over Vincent Van Gogh’s famous “Sunflowers” painting before gluing themselves to the wall below the painting at London’s National Gallery on Friday.

Video footage of the moment two young protesters, wearing Just Stop Oil T-shirts, tossed the red liquid at the priceless masterpiece has gone viral, garnering nearly 5 million views in a matter of hours.

“What is worth more, art or life? Is it worth more than food? Worth more than justice?” one of the protesters, later identified as Phoebe Plummer, 21, can be heard shouting in a follow-up video. “Are you more concerned about the protection of a painting or the protection of our planet and people?”

The painting, which has an estimated value of $84.2 million, was
reportedly not damaged due to the glass covering, though the frame had “some minor damage.” Both activists have been arrested.
