Former President Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda plan to go to Georgia to rally for Democrat candidates Sen. Raphael Warnock and gubernatorial nominee Stacy Abrams.
Georgia Democrats announced via social media that Obama was coming to the state Oct. 28 – less than two weeks before Election Day
The Washington Examiner reports that Warnock plans to host Broadway star and Hamilton creator Lin-Manual Miranda at a rally Wednesday and in an attempt to reach Hispanic voters.
Oprah Winfrey will be hosted by Abrams via zoomThursday. The TV star and entertainer has already helped Abrams raise money for her race, according to Bloomberg.
“Please join the One Georgia team for a virtual conversation with Oprah Winfrey and Stacey Abrams … at 8:30 pm,” the website stated. “All are invited to join this special event and hear more about Stacey’s unfinished business with the state of Georgia as she works to make history happen this November as the nation’s first Black female governor.”
