Musician and fashion designer Kanye “Ye” West’s “Essentials Playlist” was removed from Apple Music, which comes as the cultural figure has been dropped from partnerships by various companies and brands citing recent anti-Semitic comments from the artist.

According to Billboard, “The Ye exodus is now in full flight,” nothing “talent agency CAA dropped him as a client, MRC Entertainment shelved a completed documentary on the hip-hop icon, and Balenciaga, GAP, and Vogue cut all ties with him.”

On Wednesday, Kanye West was escorted out of Skechers headquarters in Los Angeles, California. The shoe company accused him of showing up on the premises unannounced and said, “Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West.”

West’s visit to Skechers comes just one day after Adidas ended its longtime partnership with him. The company cited his recent antisemitic comments in their decision to cut ties.

The company said in a statement, “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech.”

The Adidas partnership was valued at around $1.5 billion.

TJ Maxx and Foot Locker have also canceled partnerships with West.

West also lost a relationship with Universal Music Group (UMG), which owns Def Jam. A spokesperson for UMG said,”Def Jam’s relationship with Ye as a recording artist, Def Jam’s partnership with the GOOD Music label venture, and Ye’s merchandise agreement with Bravado all ended in 2021.”

According to the Daily Mail, the CEO of Spotify, Daniel Ek, said his music stays up on their platform for the time as “his music doesn’t violate our policy. It’s up to his label if they want to take action or not.”

Kanye West agreed to buy social media platform Parler earlier in October after having been kicked off Twitter and Instagram. CEO of Parler’s parent company Parlement Technologies is married to West’s friend and supporter Candace Owens.

“In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” West said.
