The prosecution on Monday showed a jury a lease for an Upper West Side apartment signed by former President Donald Trump as part of a criminal fraud case against the Trump Organization.

Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg made use of the apartment, per Bloomberg. The organization provided him with use of the property, which cost $6,500 per month in rent, and gave the former CFO $10,000 in moving expenses, The Hill noted.

Prosecutors allege that the Trump Organization provided its top leadership with certain perks to lessen their tax burden. Moreover, they assert that the organization’s senior leadership sanctioned the years-long scheme.

Weisselberg pleaded guilty earlier this year to accepting $1.7 million in untaxed benefits from the company in a deal that would require him to testify in the trial. He received five years in prison and a $2 million fine.

Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg first began his investigation into the Trump Organization for fraud more than three years ago. Former President Donald Trump has not been charged in Bragg’s case but a judge has ruled that he and his eldest children may be called to testify in the trial, per The Hill. Trump’s three eldest children largely handled company affairs while he was in office.

The case is separate from New York Democrat Attorney General Letitia James’ civil case alleging that the Trump Organization inflated the value of its assets.
