This may be a bloodbath for Dems.

According to recent polling data reviewed by FiveThirtyEight, the race to control the Senate is now a dead heat, with both Democrats and Republicans having a 50/50 shot; GOP candidates are surging with one week left until voters head to the polls.

From FiveThirtyEight:

  • The Senate is currently a toss-up. The party that wins two of the three closest states will likely win the Senate majority. Republicans’ two best pick-up opportunities are Nevada and Georgia…Democrats are hoping to pick up a seat in Pennsylvania, but that race has gotten a lot tighter recently.
  • Other Senate races are competitive but have identifiable favorites. For instance, strong Democratic incumbents currently have an edge in Arizonaand New Hampshire. And the Senate races in North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin are also close but will likely result in Republican winners.

Democrats are panicking over races they previously thought were shoo-ins.

According to a recent Trafalgar Poll, New York GOP gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin is pulling ahead of his Democrat opponent Kathy Hochul. The poll found that of the 1,198 likely general election voters, 48.4 percent would vote for the Zeldin, while 47.6 percent would vote for Hochul.

According to a Fox News report, Libertarian candidate Marc Victor has dropped out of the race for Senate in Arizona and has endorsed GOP opponent Blake Masters —a move that could give Masters the bump he needs to win in the Grand Canyon State.
