Elon Musk has posted a poll about whether or not to reinstate former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account:
Reinstate former President Trump

To no one’s surprise, the numbers on this one are already through the roof and it hasn’t even been up for a little more than an hour.
While it’s not clear if Musk’s decision will be swayed by the results, it’s certainly another brilliant move on the part of the new Twitter owner. Musk knows how to keep people talking and get them engaged, the crucial element to the success of any social media platform.
The true test of active user engagement: a poll to break all previous Twitter polling records.

Exactly. The numbers on QT’s, RT’s, replies, and votes on the actual poll continue to rise as we write this. Not bad for a platform that is supposed to be dead at any minute.
If nothing else, Musk is certainly having fun in his new role, and his followers are as well:
Dems are going to need to stop the count so they can haul in some mail-in votes pic.twitter.com/MFP9vqid8w

I’m guessing a pause in ballot counts, a mysterious power outage that knocks out the cameras for 8 hours, a toilet leak, and Elon asking people to put ballots in Box 3. Oh, I almost forgot, suitcases. 🧳

We’re still waiting on some mail in votes and then no will take the lead. https://t.co/oJ3Zj1yaem

At this point it’s a pretty safe bet how this poll will end up, but just to be sure:
Vote early vote often. It’s getting really close!!! https://t.co/A4EHpeMlpY
