Georgia’s Supreme Court reinstates six week abortion ban one week after it was struck down by a lower court last week.

The anti-abortion law prohibits the majority of abortions once a “detectable human heartbeat” is found.

The state attorney general very likely will appeal the lower court ruling, which the state’s highest court will then consider directly.

The ban has been criticized by pro-choice activists with man of them arguing most women don’t know when they are pregnant before six weeks.
