The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday released an infographic document detailing its activities for the day entitled “Today, DHS will…”

The infographic detailed the operations of its organization and subordinate agencies, releasing its major stats as bullet point material in a near-power point presentation.

Among the highlights were claims the DHS would “seize more than $14.5 million” in currency and assets related to cybercrime, train 2,519 law enforcement officers, patrol 95,000 miles of U.S. coastline, answer 6,000 questions from travelers on social media, and seize more than 5,000 pounds of narcotics.

A press release announcing the infographic noted the contributions of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Transportation Security Administration, and many more.

DHS efforts to highlight their activities come amid scrutiny that the organization is neglecting its duties, with particular respect to its border enforcement polices. A record 2.4 million migrants illegally entered the U.S. in fiscal year 2022 for a total of nearly 4 million under President Joe Biden.

Many Republicans have called for the impeachment of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, whom they blame for the ongoing chaos at the southern border.
