There’s been a whole lotta hoopla revolving around House Speaker Kevin McCarthy giving Tucker Carlson and his team access to over 40,000 hours of January 6th surveillance video, but for a moment let’s focus on what television outlets really care about, and that’s *ratings (*not including CNN).
House Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and others did a lot of promotion for Carlson’s show Tuesday night after begging Fox News execs to pull the plug on his upcoming show after Monday’s program. That, combined with other factors, led to big ratings while the cable nets working hard to guard the preferred narrative were left in the dust:
